Nibblr - April 2014

Nibblr is a subscription box service that offers healthy snacks delivered to your home or office for the low cost of $5.99. Shipping is free, and the single-portion snacks can be sent out weekly, bi-weekly, or on a monthly basis.

I can't help but admit I expected quite a lot from Nibblr going in. Created by General Mills to, one assumes, capitalize on the subscription service boom, there is a certain level of creativity and value expected. While I enjoyed my first experience with Nibblr, I wasn't as enthralled as I thought I would be. To be fair, I'll be giving this one a few more tries.

While I do like that the package fits neatly in my mailbox, the graphics and box design seem just a little bit dated.

The message on the front, however, definitely brought a smile to my face.

Not the most exciting inner packaging, but what I do love is that the booklet folds out into a unique artist print. This must be what they mean when they talk about delivering moments of happiness. The print isn't pictured here as I'm currently attempting to flatten out the creases a bit before displaying it in my cubicle.

Here is where things get a little bit sketchy for me. One of the main reasons I cancelled Nature Box a scant few months ago was lack of variety in their snacks. There are a couple of items here that I could just buy off the shelf at a grocery store. While this will be a great option for some, the ability to have classic favorites delivered to their doorstep, it's just not selling me yet.

So far I've only tried two of the snacks, but I'll update with a full report once I've tasted the other two. For the cost and convenience, I still feel like this box will be of fantastic value to a very large crowd. And I certainly look forward to receiving and trying future boxes to see what else Nibblr has on offer.
