Birchbox - May 2014

Though I'm still a fairly new subscriber, Birchbox is far and away one of my favorite boxes every month. For $10 you get a slew of premium samples curated around a theme. Aside from the tiny price tag, one of the other perks of being a Birchbox subscriber is the ability to earn points for reviewing the samples you receive. Points can then be redeemed toward the purchase of full size items in the Birchbox store. This month's theme was "Freewheeling". Let's check out the goods:

I LOVE the buttery yellow of the outer packaging this month - so bright and cheerful.

And here's the card, as always, describing this month's theme. Of course product descriptions can be found on the reverse along with retail prices for full size versions. Every month Birchbox includes a lifestyle extra and I'm very excited to see that this month's extra is a pair of teas by Harney & Sons.

I love how full Birchbox always looks.

Here are the two teas by Harney & Sons, beautifully packaged. I haven't had a chance yet to try the Caribe, but the Pomegranate Oolong was absolutely delicious.

I'm going back to red soon, so I'm looking forward to seeing how well this system works.

After-sun lotion, a perfect addition with summer hot on the heels of spring. This gorgeous, coral lip balm feels so soft and gives an amazing pop of color. As for the 8 in 1 serum, I have a host of other skincare products I'm set on testing first but I'll add this to the queue.

I loved this month's Birchbox even more than the last. All of the samples fit the theme perfectly, thought I think that Pixi lip balm and the two teas might be my favorite items.

Do you subscribe to Birchbox? What samples did you get this month?
